One decorator. Every job, start to finish.
We're a sole trader painter and decorator — just Akin — working across London and Kent (all boroughs). No franchise, no call centre, no subcontractors you've never met. Whoever quotes your job is the person holding the brush.
A sole trader, not a company
We're a sole trader business — just Akin, and on bigger jobs, the two people you'll meet below. No office, no fleet of vans, no sales team.
Work covers London and Kent (all boroughs) — interior and exterior painting, wallpapering, wood and window stripping, paint spraying, anti-vandal coatings, and commercial and landlord/end-of-tenancy jobs.
Vetted before we were ever listed
Checkatrade runs a 12-point check before listing any tradesperson — identity, qualifications, insurance, and references, confirmed directly with each one. Fully insured for public liability. Certificates are available on request.
Our 10/10 rating and reviews come straight from that profile.
View the Checkatrade profile →The finish depends on the ten minutes nobody sees
Filling hairline cracks, sanding back old brush marks, caulking the gap where wall meets ceiling, masking skirtings so the line reads crisp instead of freehand — that's where most of a job's time goes, not the paint itself. Skip it and a fresh coat just telegraphs every crack underneath; do it properly and the finish still looks right in three years, not three months.
